Yes, the book is mine. The first presentation will be in Bologna (or rather, near it) on October 14th; I will provide more precise details regarding the venue as well, which is wonderful (Ca' la Ghironda). I will then also present it in Parma, where I live, on November 4th. However, the book comes out on October 4th and will be available from that day on the internet and, in the days immediately following, in bookstores.

The choice of the cover image is due to the conviction, both mine and my publisher's, that another cover with a photo of Gould would have been unoriginal. Chess was a very fortunate discovery and "love at first sight." It represents, in fact, an intimate conversation, and the white king is, naturally, Glenn Gould.

The long-"awaited" release date has arrived, well done! It is always nice to celebrate a milestone and share chats (perhaps sometimes heated) with highly respected professionals.

Sometimes people argue and fight because I think we share a common interest in promoting culture; there are those who succeed less and those who succeed better... as in this case. I have read several posts by Carlos on the subject distributed over time, he has an in-depth knowledge of Gould.

Having written a book was a good move, I hope it pays off for you, even though nowadays I don't know what business margins there can be... but who cares, not everything is done for money.

It has been 3 years now; I had the good fortune to read the "IDEA" which has now become a book that I hope Matteo will turn into a reference text.

Many have already intervened and, in order not to be redundant, I wanted to share, as a tribute, part of the email I wrote after exploring the basic material; I haven't read the book yet, I will get it, but I imagine it follows the same form and approach.

Obviously, my comment was not aimed at reviewing a book, which we had mentioned in our private chats, but something more modest yet equally important.

Then I decided not to do it; a letter is a private conversation between two people sharing something, so I prefer to keep it... for a handsome reward.
