I propose this poll for the choice of the Theme to be developed in the composition workshop dedicated to the piece for piano (2015 Edition).

Perhaps the third theme, rhythmically (egoistically) I feel more comfortable with compound meters.

I don't know if I will participate, but I would like to listen to the developments of the first theme, which seems difficult for me

I must try them, at first glance the third one perhaps "inspires" me more, as soon as I try them I will express my preference.

I would lean towards 3 and I believe I will participate; I will vote in the next few days as soon as I have decided

I just "tried" them right now, I am "happy" that I nailed the melody of the first one before playing it, at least this means I'm not literally senile; then, trying the other two, I'll have to reconsider what I said yesterday, I think I will vote for the second one.

When I chose them, I didn't think that the second one, in relation to the other THEMES, would be the most popular... although perhaps it is too early. I really hope that more users (including listeners) express their preference.

The first one doesn't spark my interest, the second one I find easier but with less appeal.

I will choose the third one, which is closer to my style.

As for me, however, that not strictly tonal context attracts me a lot, because it can open up to different possibilities. I voted for it"}{

I thank Frank for the report; I will not participate in the workshop due to time constraints, but I would like to see the forum members tackling topic 3 because it confronts the composer with the difficulty of broken melody, which is not always easy to manage.

Good luck to the participants

Paradoxically, to me (instinctively) the third one seems easier, then maybe in practical testing it won't be so.

The first is interesting due to the alternation of two piano registers in a few measures and lends itself to extremely interesting developments.

The second is very unique harmonically: that chromaticism attracted me!

Go for the second one!

Indeed, harmonically it is interesting... obviously, from my point of view

I find the 3rd one to be the most stimulating, even if it sounds like a Christmas carol, it teases me

The 1st is more beautiful but leaves too much room to go wherever you want when you no longer know which way to turn; the second one too, it's too easy to take refuge in chromaticism

Since I often stray from the beaten path, let's see how it goes with the 3rd (voted!)

Ah ah AleGozzo.

just when one and two could have provided many alibis ...anyway, one must know how to take refuge in chromaticism and know how to go wherever we please.

... and this hypothetical Christmas carol can be very insidious.

I will follow you with great curiosity.
