you beat me to it by a little, and I am moved by your affection! I add below the same words that I used on Facebook: After several months of restyling, the site is now available to the public again.

The differences are substantial. Each work is now placed on its own HTML page, which will be expanded when new materials become available that will allow for a deeper study of them. Images, sketches, videos, descriptions, CDs… the page itself will become an “article” constantly subject to expansion and improvement.

With the exception of those not strictly related to the works, the in-depth articles thus become an integral part of the description of the single work.

As of January 30th, not all the material from the previous site has been put online, because it is undergoing a rigorous revision process. The musical part is curated by co-author Graziano Denini, and the syntactic part by Vincenzina Silvestri. Revision and publication will continue even after our return online.

A thank you in advance to all those who wish to send us their impressions and suggestions.

i can add that the site has been almost totally revised, and perhaps the most important part is the "work sheet"; each work has its own dedicated HTML page; at this moment some "minor" works are not yet reachable, but I intend to fix them shortly.. (as of today the new site has 880 individual html pages.... if that isn't a record...) currently we have revised 70% of the material and put about 55% on the site... the revision will continue even after our little "rebirth".

As Graziano said, this will be an "open" project; anyone who wants to contribute... with videos, documents... editions, criticism, considerations... their own performances.. is welcome.

At the end of the journey, every page will have a description of the work, PDF, MIDI (although obsolete), Mp3, video, images of the editions as well as sketches... links to other pages...

.... hearts up top!!! the work has only just re-started!!!

For me, it was absolutely necessary to reach out to you beforehand because I wanted to express how much I have missed your site during this very long time.

When that day, as always while entering the forum, I went to lv.beethoven.it and couldn't find it, I had a sudden panic attack, followed by the hope that, in reality, it was a total renewal. I was worried about the fact that I hadn't read anything in advance regarding your actual intentions for the forum.

Then I saw that things were starting to get lively and I understood that we would be facing a renewal of the site.

And here I come to also respond to Fabio, expanding on what Simone has already said.

Armando Orlandi's site, which originated from a French site, is to this day—and now even more so after the renewal—the best thing available on the web dedicated to Beethoven. And it is an immense honor to think that this site is now Italian and lovingly and splendidly curated by Italians.

I could say even more: it is not only the most beautiful and complete site dedicated to Beethoven, but it is also the most beautiful and complete site dedicated to any composer.

Beethoven cannot deserve any less than this.

Dear all, you are truly kind... I don't deserve so much...

The material I have uploaded is about 56% of the total to date. Very important sections are missing: the bibliography with the list of 480 books in the Italian language, the approximately 50 volumes available for reading and download... about thirty "articles" including my repair of Beethoven's pendulum clock, the one on Beethoven's clocks... the concert at BH, the trio Anhang 3..... the quartets Anhang 2... Then the sketches are missing, including all of Kafka, with its 400 mp3 examples...

The treatise on harmony and composition is still missing!!!!! (it needs to be completely revised!)

All the Blumenlese für Klavierliebhaber, from 1782 to 1787.... about 800 mp3s.. The Beethoven-Album...

At the end of the work (never or almost), we will begin the monumental task of translating the site into English....

But first, let's put back all the revised "old" material..... then thanks to Michel Rouch we have had access to the "Beethovenian" (apocryphal) manuscripts from Prague and Brno and we will expand the entire apocrypha section. (3 Polyglot, various "Graduale", a requiem...) (Michel is currently working on the complete description and cataloging of all the apocryphal waltzes attributed to Beethoven in the nineteenth century.. ).

After about a year of revision, we are happy to re-present on our website www.lvbeethoven.it Ludwig van Beethoven’s Studien im Generalbasse, Contrapuncte und in der Compositions-Lehre aus dessen handschriftlichem Nachlasse gesammelt und hrsg. von Ignaz von Seyfried. The work consists of 46 web pages, 35 images and, above all, 535 Mp3 files, namely all the musical examples contained in the book, preceded by an introduction on the chronology of publications. All the books, autographs, and editions belong to my private collections and those of our collaborators.
