Tarkovsky's penultimate film projected for the first time with Acusmonium

(40 speakers arranged in the hall to spatialize the sound).

Before the film, at *6:30 PM*, in the Galleria San Fedele, an *exhibition will open featuring production stills from Tarkovsky films*.

An undisputed champion of crisis cinema, Tarkovsky signed (together with Tonino Guerra, co-screenwriter) Nostalghia, a suggestive and fundamental film for its figurative beauties, the splendid cinematography by Giuseppe Lanci, and the intense performances by Oleg Yankovsky and Erland Josephson.

The film possesses a solemn gravity, translating a wide spectrum of moral and spiritual motifs into images of strong lyricism—focusing on the themes of water and fire, whether those of incommunicability and finding oneself among different beings, the materialization of memories, or the ancient identity between poets and the mentally ill, prophets of health beyond all boundaries (Giovanni Grazzini).
