hello everyone,

i need a little help with Finale 2012.

i had to do 2 very simple things (that I used to know how to do!) and now I can't remember anymore.

i hope you can help me!

1) i have created a transcription for piano four hands. in the layout, i get 2 systems per page but they are too close together. well... i would like to space them out a bit, so that they are distributed evenly in the available space.

2) there is a section written in the treble register and, to avoid additional ledger lines, i would like to use the usual writing an octave lower with the “ostavino” (read “8”) at the top and the dashed line for the entire duration of the treble part.

Greetings to all the friends of the forum!

1) Press the icon with an upward arrow on a treble clef (Staff Tool), white squares will activate on the staves at the far left; with the mouse, press the one close to the clef ... drag down as much as you like

2) Press the icon with an upward arrow on a slur (Smart Shape Tool), a toolbar will appear on the far right including the octave sign. Select the icon, point the mouse (left click) below the notes that you would like an octave lower and move the mouse while holding it down to where you want it.
