I have been studying piano since I was 7 years old, now I am 27.
20 years have passed, listening to and playing the great masters...
In the end there was a shift, 5 years ago, when I began to feel that I also had to write my own music,
and the freedom that writing brings is beautiful. I discovered that learning to compose teaches you how to play better, and that playing teaches you how to compose better.
In between these two dimensions there is an interstice, improvisation... a territory halfway between the two that amplifies them and allows for self-exploration.
A few months ago, I decided to celebrate all the greats of the past by writing a piece that would encompass many past styles in a single musical arc.
Thus 'Through the history Variations' was born, built on the theme of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star,
and developed into 18 different musical styles inspired by various composers in chronological order... A reflection on history and styles...
