Wonderful site and forum that I discovered after seeing some videos of the Maestro.
I studied piano for several years and now I enjoy playing it just for the pleasure of doing so and to not lose (reacquire) my manual dexterity.
I own a Schulze Pollmann bought new, which is now more than 20 years old. Unfortunately, for a long time I haven't been able to take care of it as I was forced to leave it in a house different from where I lived, but now I would like to restore it.
Obviously it is out of tune, but if I had to invent a term to describe its current condition, I would say it is "uniformly flat"; there are only a few notes that actually do not have perfectly tuned unisons and therefore result in a poor sound.
But the imperfect tuning is certainly the thing that worries me least; the most evident defect at the moment is some hammers that remain "stuck".
I will certainly intervene and/or open some discussions to get advice on electronic tuners and the identification/correction of mechanical defects.
