A. Zignani - Carlos Kleiber. The Sunset of the West

I've read it and there are interesting testimonies about the great conductor. Honestly, I don't appreciate Zignani's style very much (though I do have his books on Karajan and Furtwängler). If you want to read about Kleiber, I suggest the beautiful book by Mauro Balestrazzi "Carlos Kleiber. Angelo o demone" (L'Epos) and, indispensable, the documentary "Carlos Kleiber - Traces to nowhere", which is also available in full on YouTube.

I am not familiar with Zignani's book; I thank Carlos for pointing out Balestrazzi's book.

In one of these episodes, Claudio Abbado defines Carlos Kleiber as "the greatest conductor of the twentieth century.".
