Hi!
Today I was asked to accompany a young girl to an admission exam at the Conservatory. As an accompanist pianist, I have experience within the conservatory where I am paid in the form of a scholarship: but no experience with external clients. Does anyone know what appropriate rates might be for this purpose? Since it involves children, the difficulty is not high, so I imagine the price goes down, or not?

Set your own hourly rate, count the effort (hours per hourly wage) ... eventually add expenses such as (lunch) and travel
To the total, I would add rehearsal time (if planned).

Thank you. Since I am not yet graduated and since they are children (1 or 2 hours of rehearsal + 2 or 3 on the day of the exam), I think I will be around 10 euros.

I agree with the methodology proposed by ttw; as for the hourly rate, it depends on the musician's level of preparation and experience.
If the client knows you are a student, they will automatically readily accept a symbolic figure of 10 euros per hour... keep in mind that on average a professional charges around 50 euros per hour.
It is also true that it depends a bit on the location, meaning Milan, Rome, Naples are one thing... who knows, Riva del Garda is another
