Hello. I am missing the last two and a half years of basic pre-academic courses at the conservatory and now I feel the need to buy myself an 88-key weighted keyboard (with pedal) that is easy to transport. Ideally, I would need it with various effects so that I can have some fun and perhaps in the future be able to do some performances or evenings out. I would like to spend a maximum of €2500. Could you recommend any models?
I have seen several interesting models, such as the Nord Piano 3 (88), Kurzweil Forte SE, Yamaha CP300, Kurzweil PC3 A8. Could you recommend anything else? Which one is the best?
Of those you listed, if you need it for performing at events, the NORD is the best. Certainly, for study purposes, however, it would be better to go with other types.
But does the NORD allow playing with different effects? For practice, I already own an acoustic piano. I would like a keyboard with various functions and "Styles" in order to both do serious performances with classical pieces and have fun, either at home or with friends, with music of various genres!
Instruments nowadays almost all have keyboards. In any case, as I always do, I recommend that you go to a dealer and try them out. Never buy blindly. A keyboard is always a very personal thing.
They are all arranger workstations, although the Roland is more of a digital piano with arranger functions. For the Yamaha, I should have put Tyros 5 but the price is 3000€. They have everything you are looking for, hundreds of sounds (very realistic), Style accompaniments and microphone input with effects, USB reading etc etc
