just today (as every year, for that matter) I received the usual bulletin with which I can conveniently pay the SIAE membership fee; little stuff, just to cover expenses....
we are talking about the modest sum of 150 precious euros! (forgive my irony but it slips out, what can I do?!). jokes aside, I note, with great displeasure, how much, in a few years, the cost of the membership fee has risen visibly. and I have come to the conclusion that for me it is no longer a necessary cost, at least at this moment. however, I would still like to have the possibility of relying on an entity responsible for the protection of musical copyright, with a fee that is at least more sustainable, considering that I haven't accumulated earnings for a few years.
say... "but if you don't have earnings, why the hell are you signing up?".... I swear, that's what I asked myself too.
anyway, to conclude.... do you happen to know what the market currently offers? even online...
Safecreative, one of the possible "solutions": 72 euros per year for unlimited deposits and the possibility to deposit all the versions you want of a piece without losing the previous ones, meaning that the timestamp remains unchanged from the first to the last deposit of a given piece; furthermore, on every page where deposit information is present, the identification codes of the linked versions are visible.
The certificates are obviously electronic and are sent directly to you by email (but you can view and download them at any time from your profile on the official website).
In addition to music, you can also deposit other types of files: lyrics, photos, software, etc..
