"Naive" and useless stunt: making the orchestra perform in jeans instead of the tailcoat uniform that earned them a presence on RAI in the PD melting pot on Saturday nights (these are memorable moments of high culture...)
I have met many amateurs, but rarely do they involve characters so convinced of their own skill. Instead, it is a matter of incompetence! In effect, they show an inability to execute this difficult Beethovenian piece, nor how to interpret it.
Aside from the poor conducting technique, there is no measure performed in time, there is no phrase executed in the right proportions, the dynamics are often wrong, and disorder reigns supreme. The result in its entirety is simply vulgar.
More money wasted, not to mention how much the orchestra has been debased.
