Wandering through the forums I saw a great absentee, Schubert! Schubert infuses into the piano what Michelangelo infuses into marble: a restless soul, never satisfied, always reaching beyond itself... The piano becomes, as Heidegger said regarding nostalgia, 'the pain of the proximity of the distant'. It is a pity not to see him among the great composers.

Hi Unreal65, I fear it is not an “deliberate” oversight; that section of the forum is powered by forum members who volunteer to moderate and “promote” their favorite composer. Probably until now, no strong Schubert enthusiast had come forward.
This can be experienced as an absence, certainly... I myself have thought several times about closely tending to a Great Composer

but in fact, if I were to decide to invest time in this... I would not do it for Schubert. Not because he isn't Great, but because everyone has their own “string” and mine vibrate more for others.
I certainly wouldn't give up Schubert's Lieder very easily; perhaps I myself have suggested texts on Schubert several times. Doing a quick little search, I found about ten pages of quote topics... I want to be optimistic. S. is not absent, maybe not yet a protagonist of the forum... which is obviously a drop in the ocean.
But you could take care of disseminating material in the forum... perhaps by taking charge of a section dedicated to Schubert.
