After many years, thanks to the fact that there is a music school 500 meters from my house, I have started taking piano lessons again,

now in December there is the recital.. The few adult students tend not to do it. I want to do it, even if I will be very nervous.

Here is the piece in preview

what a great initiative to start again! You will do a great job on the exam. Stay calm and before you begin, do two things: take a deep breath and when you sit at the piano, concentrate as if you were listening to the beginning of the piece inside yourself. ....When you start playing, you will already be...."in the music". Good luck!

I already went through this experience of the first recital 3 years ago. When I stepped onto the stage my heart was beating fast, and my hands were shaking, but at the end of the piece it was a great satisfaction to have played in front of so many people.

P.s. But is it a guitar or a piano?

It's not a guitar, it's a digital piano from the now defunct GEM, connected to a USB mixer and recorded by the PC..

I also have a real piano, which I have already spoken about in this forum... but if I record from there, I think it will be much worse.

These are the tools I have..

The digital piano has keys that are a bit too light, so before going to lessons, I play a bit on the acoustic one.

At the recital, all the grandmothers, aunts, etc., of the little children playing and singing will be there; they aren't music experts, and in the end, they won't deny applause to anyone!

thanks for listening!

Sorry, I didn't mean to criticize your "means" and the sound is very reminiscent of an acoustic guitar, and it's not bad at all, in fact, I even like it

i believe you that you even like it!

We are talking about the Prelude in C minor BWV999 which is . . . for lute!

So the guitar (or harp) timbre fits perfectly.

I like it too

The audition went well!! Great tension... some doubts (but why did I accept?) then a few little mistakes..

but hey, in the end, great satisfaction
