hello everyone, I need to replace a bass string on a kawai kg7, I measured the copper winding of the twin string under tension and it reaches 126 cm, how much should the copper winding measure at rest? do I necessarily have to loosen the other twin or is there a fixed formula? thanks

It would be better to replace both of them because the timbre, the tone, is never identical. Therefore, it is worth replacing the other one as well. Anyway, by reporting the note and the dimensions, whoever provides the two strings will take care to check their correct size
