Is there any software that can count the number of beats between two sounds? I have deduced, both from this forum and on my own, that tuning software only leads one astray. It would be more interesting to help the ear in the perception and counting of beats.
I don't know if this type of software exists, but digital tuners themselves report the different frequencies of sounds that, if out of phase, produce beats. However, one must deal with inharmonicity. The ear can be refined in perceiving the beat count. There are exercises in Reblitz's book (text in English, but very understandable, very clear)
