Beethoven died in 1827. People always talk about him on the anniversary of his birth (a date that is uncertain, by the way), but unlike Mozart, no one remembers when he died. A "Peanuts" effect? Perhaps because he didn't have such a romanticized death like Mozart.
Anyway, just like and as Mozart and others, he continues to live through his music.
