Dear friends,

The two articles that Luigi Bellofatto and I wrote for the Neue Beethoven Studien are available on the site. The first

"Beethoven and the Art of Horology. The watches of Beethoven, Tobias Haslinger and Alexander W. Thayer Part 1: The watches belonging to Beethoven - A. Pocket watches." appeared in issue 9 of said NBS in 2011.

The second

Beethoven and the Art of Horology. The watches of Beethoven, Tobias Haslinger and Alexander W. Thayer Part 2: Addenda and Corrigenda.

appeared instead in issue 11 in 2014.

You will like - I hope - the photographic part of these watches, as well as the video part of the pendulum clock of Beethoven that I repaired at the end of September 2011, which you can find here: http://www.lvbeethoven.it/Avvenimenti/Beethoven-Avvenimenti-Orologi-Beethoven.html

and here: http://www.lvbeethoven.it/Avvenimenti/Beethoven-Avvenimenti-Orologi-Beethoven-video.html

A slightly different way to approach Our [Master] and the Art of horology of his time!
