Hello guys,
As you can see, the king and the sun circled in red are smaller in the 1st and 2nd highlighted bichord compared to the other notes.
Can I ask you why? It is the edition edited by Casella and it seems to me that in other editions those 2 notes are practically not present.

Either one or the other... probably from the manuscript or from various "copies" over time. The large one is to be preferred and does not prolong like a tied note

I correct myself: the small note is just an option to leave the previous note tied. That is, re tied and sol tied. It's a way of writing, a matter of notation.
