In my opinion, it's not about the academy, but the cultural approach of a certain nation (understood as a group of people) to study.

I could tell you Russia, but they would ask you for things that perhaps you would never be willing to do... those who study music don't do 1000 other things there, they just study and at rhythms that, from the outside, can seem unsustainable.

It works because there is a certain mentis in the people.

I would look for a good teacher for myself; it doesn't seem to me that Pollini, Muti or composers like Berio studied who knows where, perhaps they had much talent and represent us in the world

As far as I know, foreigners come to study in Italy, particularly many Asians

If you are interested in the German area, look for them under the name Hochschule für Musik. Sifting through the curricula of great pianists and seeing where they studied doesn't hurt.
