The long holiday here in Romania is coming to an end, alas, and next week I will be back!
I hope to be able to dedicate more time to the site than I have been able to do lately.
In the meantime, I bring to your attention a performance by the famous Taraf de Haidouks.
The Taraf, which Romania is so crazy about that there is a continuous program dedicated to Taraf - TARAF TV - is a musical group, generally quite small, although there are no lack of examples of monumental compositions with dozens and dozens of performers, singing folk and "lautaresca" music.
Keep in mind that the mud houses and the type of life you see are real and widespread in the surroundings, not many kilometers from here, around Moroeni or the valleys around the TransFăgărășan, a breathtaking road that climbs through and upon the mountains, defying the freezing wind.
Well, enjoy the EAST wind, but also the atmospheres that prevail there.
