The latest addition to the BORGATO family is currently the longest piano in the world: 333 cm
The length was a consequence of achieving a very specific goal, the improvement of the sound of the bass register.

I would like to try it when there is an opportunity. If a concert happens to occur near here again, I will ask Luigi Borgato if he'll let me take it for a little spin in the afternoon... Assuming he uses it for concerts

without wanting to be a contrarian, but the longest piano in the world is 570 cm long ...
p.s. the sound doesn't seem exceptional to me, quite the opposite

It would be interesting to make a comparison with an F308, the only piano to have a similar length
Personally, I fear that going beyond certain dimensions might also create some problems with sound performance; a local technician told me that by exaggerating the lengths, imbalances appear (I believe in timbre) between the lows and highs. Surely Borgato will have worked on this limit

The last time I spoke in person with Borgato was 4 or 5 years ago during a concert in Todi, if I'm not mistaken. He told me he had already been working on this project for some time, but he had encountered some problems that he was trying to solve and told me he wouldn't release the piano until he had resolved them. I believe therefore that he has resolved them, since the piano is now available.
