This instrument is being sold, with Langer action and Abel hammers, at the meager cost of 9000 euros in an infamous shop in northern Italy... I know someone who tried it and was positively impressed... what do you think? Does anyone have experience regarding this?

These are pianos that must be tested. When a piano is restored, it can improve.....but also worsen....The age of the instrument and many other things regarding its "life" and the materials used for its restoration play a role. The antiquity of the soundboard is important, as is its "load". Then there is the state of the strings, pins, hammers, and action. It could be interesting

Paolo, are we talking about the same Brodmann? In what sense are they restored pianos?

The PE 212 model can be purchased for 9000 euros from a dealer in the north (Langer action, Abel hammers etc. etc....) how is that possible?

Hi!

if you're interested, I bought one about a month ago, from that very "notorious dealer" you mentioned (who, at least in my case, was precise, professional, and kind.... only a few delays in delivery since I live very far from his shop...) and aside from the retailer..... I can tell you it's a splendid instrument! built on par with pianos that cost at least three times as much..... all the components are of high quality... the details are very well finished and it also has an attractive look.... the sound (at least to my taste, of course!...) is beautiful! very rich bass, very pleasant across the whole range... and, given its generous size, it has considerable volume....

In short... I would recommend it to anyone!

honestly, I don't quite understand the pricing policy... also because the list price is €24,000.00...... I believe it is a promotional launch policy precisely because the brand does not have a long history....
