Is there still anyone who teaches composition without going through the repertoire? I ask because it seems like a sensational discovery, whereas to me it seems like a perfectly normal thing.
Dante, meanwhile Coltro died in 1998... so twenty years ago. The interview is from '92... it seems strange to say, but one should already start contextualizing the moment it was released.
