As mentioned in other posts, I am a pianist who is also passionate about tuning. A few years ago, I purchased one of those beginner kits to tune my upright piano, a Yamaha U3. Now I was reading in a post on an American blog that the tuning hammer I have is terrible and that it will eventually ruin my piano. Why is that, I wonder? It has worked excellently so far.
If you were to recommend a good tuning hammer, which one would you point me toward?

This is my current key. I don't understand how it could damage the ankles.

Alright. The important thing is that the size is right for your ankles. That is, it grips the ankle well and allows it to rotate easily. Generally, a size 2 is the standard size. The key must grip the ankle almost up to the winding of the string.
