Hello everyone,
in your opinion, which of the piano stages available on the market has a mechanism that is as faithful as possible?
the candidates are:
1)Yamaha CP1\5
2)Roland RD 700 NX
3)Kawai MP10\6
and beyond the mechanics, what do you think of the rest?

Among those you have listed, the comparison should be made between the Roland RD and the Kawai MP10.
Roland has a lighter keyboard than the Kawai. The Kawai truly has a beautiful keyboard; in this price range, in my opinion, it is the best. The double escapement simulation is very balanced: playing softly you can feel it well, as in coda, and playing strongly it doesn't even seem to be there (again, as in coda). The tactile sensation is excellent on both instruments, as both feature ivory feel. In my opinion, in terms of keyboard, the Kawai is certainly superior. Aesthetically, the Roland is more beautiful; it looks more solid and refined than the Kawai, but when spending 2000 euros on a digital piano, one must look at quality rather than aesthetic beauty.
Regarding sound, the Kawai also seems better to me in terms of sample quality. It might sound like blasphemy, but it isn't. The Roland decays much sooner than the Kawai, which continues in damped loop for a period of time significantly longer than the Roland. In any case, both are excellent instruments. The Yamaha is not bad either; the only thing is that honestly, Yamaha keyboards have never blown me away, even though I have a Yamaha keyboard that I believe won't be replaced anytime soon.
In terms of functions, both have a ton of sampled sounds selectable with a click. On Roland, if you are a tech enthusiast like me, there is the possibility to connect an iPad via Wi-Fi to the keyboard for live set editing through an application downloadable for free from the Apple App Store, something the Kawai lacks. I remind you, however, that toys aside, both have MIDI outputs for connection via a MIDI interface to a PC, and therefore the possibility of being used as a MIDI controller or as a sequencer by putting an MPS software into acquisition mode.
In short, if I had to choose between these three keyboards, I would choose the MP10 with my eyes closed; in any case, I advise you to go to a well-stocked store and try them. As I always say, what works for me might not work for others.

i have been the owner of a CP5 for some time now, and I must say that Yamaha has always driven me crazy regarding sound quality... my choice towards this piano was also guided by the wonderful Rhodes sampling (in my opinion one of the best ever after having tried many)... however, lately I have become much more demanding when it comes to the keyboard, and I must say that this is a point against Yamaha... the idea was indeed to sell it\exchange it for a Roland\mp10 even though I am sorry to part with it ... I have already had the chance to try the Roland, but the Kawai is almost impossible to find.. I checked some shops in Milan, but they don't have it in stock... I will wait a bit longer.... (and then the 30 kilos intimidate me a little eheh)
