My great-grandmother Flora Piccoli Mancini (daughter of the minister and jurist Pasquale Stanislao Mancini), a poet and musician who hosted a musical salon, had cultural contacts with Gounod. We also commemorated this salon in a concert (performed in Naples, Vicenza, Rovereto) in which rare Gounod chamber romances were obviously sung.

I don't seem to see any pieces by Gounod dedicated to the Piano-Pédalier in your catalogue; if you are interested, let's try to track down some sources.
