Hello everyone, weeks ago I started a discussion where I was asking for advice on an excellent stage digital piano that had a great keyboard and a beautiful sound, similar to an acoustic piano; well, after many comparisons, many reviews, much information, and finally many live tests in shops in Milan, I am sure I have made the best choice! Based on my needs.
I have tried really many pianos, from Korg, to Yamaha, to Roland, to Casio, to Kawai. These are some models:
Yamaha CP300
Yamaha CP33
Yamaha CP5
Yamaha CP50
Kawai MP10
Kawai MP6
Kawai ES6B (black)
Roland RD 700 NX
Roland RD 300 NX
Roland RD-700 GX
Roland RD-300 GX
Roland FP7FBK
Roland FP4FBK
After many tests, I chose what in my opinion is truly an excellent Stage Digital Piano! I am talking about the Kawai MP6. It is a marvel: aesthetic beauty, professional look, robust, good keyboard, with double escapement and smooth action, neither hard nor too light. Robust and stable stand, many possibilities for external connections and above all the possibility of 256 sounds, with some grand piano sounds that are truly exceptional. I am really happy! The weight is around 22kg, not little but not excessive either and still portable. In truth, I was struck by a model that in my opinion, at the keyboard level, is incredible! I am talking about the Kawai MP10, a keyboard that, for being a digital piano, is exceptional, truly very close to an acoustic grand piano, wooden keys, a real marvel! The only thing that held me back from buying it was not the price (2100 euros against the 1400 of the MP6), but the weight: 32kg unfortunately for a person at least like me, is too much to carry, and I didn't feel up to it. I am nonetheless very happy with my Kawai MP6, a piano that I really recommend to all pianists who need an excellent professional instrument, and which I consider second only to the Kawai MP10!!!
