Hi, sorry to bother you, but I wanted to ask if the clarinet has any registers where it doesn't really perform well. In particular, I would like to use it in a fairly sustained dynamic (between mf and f) in the high register, specifically between G4 and Bb4, with C3 being the middle one.
What do you think?

A good orchestration manual wouldn't hurt!
The register you are referring to is that of the "clarino" and you can easily play an mf and an f!

You are right Micamahler, but I omitted to indicate that I use the clarinet in A and I don't know if the behavior can be analogous... given the high Bb...
