I went to listen to Bruno Canino at the S. Cecilia auditorium in Rome for Mozart's k. 466 concerto. He made a mess, he forgot many parts, but I still consider him a great pianist, errors aside. He has played everything in his life and I love his approach to the piano very much. The phrasing was also beautiful, and if the interpretation is convincing, I care little about the errors and memory lapses that can occur in a concert.
