My teacher told me to look for Clementi's Sonata No. 1 in D major, so I believe it is the sonata in D major contained in the first volume of the Curci edition

Even though, searching for the sonatas contained in the first volume of Curci, none are in D major

Thanks, but yesterday I spent an entire afternoon searching the internet to find out in which edition I can find it in a store, but apparently it doesn't exist

Now I remember, I dealt with this a little while ago; Op. 25 is composed of 6 different sonatas.

Perfect and most celebrated is the fifth in F# minor, anguished and palpitating, entirely stretched in an expressive arc of pre-romantic beauty, such as to inspire, as is well known, a late-romantic writer such as Antonio Fogazzaro.

This is one of my favorites and it wouldn't be bad to at least listen to it.

For example, the fourth Sonata, less famous, is nonetheless extremely important for the pre-romantic character of an instrumental writing striving for a rich and flowery cantability, with an almost Chopin-esque flavor, which is something extremely impressive when one thinks of the publication date of the first edition (1790).

Thus, Op. 26 no. 3 would be Op. 25 no. 6 written in the same brilliant style as Op. 25 no. 2, typically Clementian (frankly, I like it even if I prefer sonatas written in minor keys... right RStrauss?).

There are also recordings on the market; I had obtained those by Pietro Spada... although in hindsight, there is better.
