Decidedly very useful for performing piece analysis when studying, as well as for personal culture. But I want to leave the possibility for composers to respond to you. They will surely be more convincing and complete in their response.

I did it for singers, I believe the program is the same.

The exams consist of harmonizing a given bassline, with 3 or 4 modulations, and then the oral exam, in which generally the bassline is discussed, harmony is talked about, and very briefly, formal analysis. In the oral exam, there is also a small analysis test; when I did it, I brought the slow movements of Beethoven's first 10 sonatas, but I don't know if it is a fixed or variable program
