hi everyone .

do you think it is possible to organize a listening session at someone's house or in a venue using an adequate hi-fi system? .

the hi-fi system could be provided by some of us, perhaps each contributing their part .

for example, one person brings the speakers, another the amplifier, and someone else the DAC and the player; we would only need to find the venue .

somewhat like how DJs do when they go around playing their genre of music .

naturally without driving 1000 km .

classical music on CD or in the form of flac wav files on some other medium, it depends on the type of player

yes

naturally the system must be high fidelity

in theory one should also take into account the acoustics of the listening environment

I don't understand the point of it anyway. At this point, wouldn't it be better to go listen to the orchestra?

I am pointing out to you that in Desio, the Amici della Musica Herbert von Karajan association has been doing exactly what you have in mind for a few years now.

Visit their website and perhaps contact them to exchange experiences and ask for advice.

The person in charge is Marco Mologni, a journalist for Corriere. You can find his contact details on the site.
