Concluding chords and substitutions

I know this might be a recurring topic, but assuming a banal II V I, how can one conclude a significant part of a piece differently... I mean at the level of the actual chord progression?

For example, starting from A- b5 7, D7 and G-

I didn't understand the question, do you mean by keeping the II V I or by changing the chords, so are you asking for another way to finish?

I would also, Micamahler, put at least 7maj on the last chord, (x Mattia) G#7 is equivalent to the solution that I also provided for the second chord

I don't know, but if we are at the end, resolving everything in II V I or any possible substitutes seems a bit reductive to me... how many minutes of music are we talking about concluding?
