i have just registered on this forum, I wanted to ask you (since I am going crazy) and I am having my first experiences both with a MacBook Pro, purchased new, and Logic Pro 9 how to set up an ALLEN&HEATH GLD 80 with a Dante card installed since My problem is that by importing 6 audio tracks into LOGIC and configuring the Dante card as IN/OUT in LOGIC "preferences" I cannot get the individual audio tracks to come out on the individual channels of the mixer.

Hi, you have a great digital mixer... Compliments. Honestly, I have never dealt with the Dante card, if we are talking about the My16 which is supposed to work over ethernet. In this case, I assume that the inputs to the PC are managed by proprietary software because usually one does not typically pass incoming data flow to the PC via an ethernet port and, unless it is gigabit, it becomes very risky. Assuming you are recording at 24-bit 44100 Hz in stereo, you would have 100000000/2*24*44100 = 47 channels. Also consider that you don't always work at full capacity and you need to keep at least 30% more headroom, so let's take 30% off the 47 channels and we arrive at 33 channels manageable by a 100 megabit ethernet protocol. If I'm not mistaken, your mixer handles up to 48 channels. This is why I assumed it was gigabit so you wouldn't have problems.
First of all, one must understand whether you need to do recording or mixing with this equipment.
Probably the Dante software should function as a patchbay that needs to be normalized.

and so on, and in this way I had the tracks played by Nuendo on the individual faders of the mixer.
Tall these steps I cannot manage to set up on LOGIC.

Ok, while browsing through Logic, I found all the steps I need to mix and record with the GLD 80 and DANTE card, and so I have solved 90% of my problems.
