The good BackSpace once gave me the following response regarding the discussion about private students:

BackSpace wrote:

Last October, the Senate Education Commission discussed bill 1693 which, as it contains the transitional rule for private students halfway through their studies, it really seems that the commission voted on the amendment concerning private students; now the article inserted as an amendment to bill 1693 says:

4.1 (text 3)

STIFFONI, ADERENTI, PITTONI

APPROVED

After paragraph 1, add the following:

«1 bis. The possibility to access examination tests at conservatories is permitted for private students who already possess the lower completion exam, according to the old system. Such students, within the 2017-2018 academic year, will be able to conclude their studies under the system with which they began and will be able to take the remaining exams for the diploma and obtain the diploma itself even in the absence of a high school diploma».

the process will now be as follows: bill 1693 is waiting for some opinions (it seems to me from the budget commission), then it will go to the floor (Chamber and Senate) NO LATER than the summer of 2012, so we are at the moment of truth. the amendment was approved by the commission and, if they are consistent, we will have no problems graduating. it is true that it is only a bill, but I remind you that with the double attendance university/conservatories it went exactly the same way: the law DID NOT EXIST (and still does not), but the simple vote on the amendment was enough to make the institutes understand what the legislator's intention was, and now (even if the law is indeed still in commission) double attendance is permitted.

Honestly, I don't know if it then went into the official gazette ...

Does anyone or Backspace himself have any news?

The bill is awaiting approval, sources say it will be in June.

In any case, that amendment to the paragraph was rejected and no conservatory can allow private students to take old system exams.
