Hi, I wanted to ask for two pieces of information:

in your opinion, is it normal that in some pianos (see Yamaha C5 grand), the left pedal has about 5 mm of play, and once this "jump" is passed, it moves the keyboard to the right normally?

on a grand piano, I play a chord, for example C E G, and I press the resonance pedal (all the way down); is it normal that the dampers of the pressed keys are about 2 mm higher than all the other dampers?

Thank you

Denis
