Dear friends, after agreements made over the phone with Mr. Luigi Borgato (a concert grand piano builder whom you will all know: www.borgato.it) and with "Istituto Musicale Veneto e Accademia Borgato", I am here to officially present an event that many of you might be interested in.

Luigi Borgato teaches his secrets at the Istituto Veneto in Thiene.
Great news comes from the Istituto Musicale Veneto Città di Thiene, which has recently established a close and interesting relationship with the Accademia Borgato, of the well-known Venetian builder Luigi Borgato.
The collaboration begins with a three-day course, scheduled for next Friday the 25th, Saturday the 26th, and Sunday the 27th of October, and includes three afternoon sessions, the title of which is very representative:
"Piano construction and its regulation".
The course is divided thematically into three distinct topics: on Friday the 25th, Luigi Borgato will illustrate the design and construction of a concert grand piano; on Saturday the 26th, he will continue with the specifics of the action-keyboard and its regulation; finally, on Sunday the 27th, sound and tuning.
The course has limited places and attendance is free for members of the Istituto Musicale Veneto di Thiene, while "outsiders" may access it by paying a registration fee. Anyone can participate, as this is an initial introductory course serving as a prologue to more substantial initiatives: together with the Municipality of Thiene (Department of Culture) and the Fondazione Villa Fabris, with the support of the Veneto Region.
Plans are already in place for both a four-week summer course and a thirteen-week winter course.
Reservations for this October's three-day event must be communicated by completing the registration form on the Institute's website.
