Regulation, no, that is a matter of opinion; for one pianist it may be perfect, for another not. Even among technicians there are differing opinions: one performs the regulation and the next one criticizes it... for some, it's better if they don't touch it at all...

Those who have knowledge should show with photos or videos what they write....this is not a forum for technicians..so you decide!

But what does that mean, do you know how much time it takes to make a video? If people had nothing to do I could understand... if every time we talk about how to turn a screw we post a video, we'll never finish.

On this Forum, answers are provided at various levels. If it is sensed from the questions that the interlocutor is quite experienced, one tries to answer in depth, a mode that might seem difficult and of little use to someone else. In any case, we try—at least I do, but so do others—to satisfy needs and attempt to suggest the path toward resolving problems with one's own instrument. Precisely because it is not a forum for technicians, we try to answer by attempting to focus on the problem and helping members either to solve the problem themselves or to communicate well with the technician who will be called to assist the instrument.

Many examples can be found on the web, and we can clearly observe that very different procedures exist for the same intervention. I maintain that one must learn to properly contextualize one's idea: "...I do this in this way... because..." rather than just because it is so. ...or "...but I have always done it this way...". One must, I believe, reach the "essence" and justify to ourselves and to others the reason for our convictions. Regarding this, I seem to often read well-contextualized suggestions on this forum. It is clear that one cannot show everything with a video. Sometimes, as in music teaching, words and the "upstream" concept are much more useful, leaving the practical solution to those who feel capable of tackling it. I therefore find myself, once again, in agreement with giovannig: ...we would never finish! Don't hold it against me for this. A person who possesses knowledge can transmit its "notion." In turn, whoever receives it transforms it into THEIR own knowledge by uniting it with experience. This is what I think.
