Enrico, it is always a pleasure to listen to you. You play and arrange with great taste. It's the style I like for this type of music. The sound and the recording could be better, but sometimes one must also aim for "substance." Well done. Congratulations

i only try to express what I feel and what I like most. I often come across as ignorant when they ask me "algebraic" questions related to harmonization and jazz.
But what can I tell you.... music just comes to me this way.
I have been scolded several times and urged to deepen my knowledge of harmony. But anyway, for the type of work I do, for the type of audience I have, aside from my curiosity and desire to learn new things, this way of playing allows me to make a living. Learning how to do cadences like Herbie Hancock or knowing if a mode is Mixolydian or something else does not bring me closer to my audience... quite the opposite.
That said, now I promise to study a bit of Monk and Grusin.

A few days ago, a friend asked me why I don't dedicate myself to arrangements and improvisations. "...but how, with what you play....for you it's nothing"....It's not like that. I have a lot of respect for those who can improvise, arrange, and express themselves in a light style with the ability to reinterpret. It is not so much a question of knowing harmony or not, but of possessing or having developed "flair" in playing with fantasy close to harmonic formulas and more. I don't find it easy at all, and the fact of having years of classical study may not be enough. Rubinstein, who was often at the Venice festival, one evening heard Oscar Peterson playing and was amazed!!!!! He confessed that he would never be able to play that music in that way. He was sincere.
If your music is life...it is right...and it must come from the breath of Art. Perhaps you already possess everything you need to express yourself, and that is also right. Everything you will learn in the future will come when the time is right and if it is necessary for you. Good Music
