Does Galaxy II support variation in sound for repeated notes?

Hello,

a curiosity for those who use Galaxy II:

i would like to know if it supports this effect

i.e., the variation in sound that occurs when playing a repeated note

(especially with the forte pedal depressed).

It is a feature that Pianoteq simulates very convincingly.

No, it does not have this function. You are comparing a physical modeling library with a sampled one. They are two completely different things. The physical modeling library has many more functions than sampled libraries. However, speaking of sound, I much prefer the sampled one. I don't think the function you are looking for exists for sampled libraries, but I am not certain. We should wait for Simone's intervention, as he will surely be more informed than I am.

i know well what differentiates physical modeling synthesis from sampled sound libraries. I am well acquainted with

the functions available in Pianoteq (I use it almost every day).

The fact that Galaxy II does not have the aforementioned characteristic does not mean that sampled libraries cannot support it. In fact, I have found at least two that do:

VI Labs Ravenscroft 275

EastWest/Quantum Leap Pianos
