Ok, if it's intentional... but at least the topic index could have been left free, so one knows if they feel like logging in to read.... or not....

The decision was made based on some statistics. We were recording an enormous amount of daily traffic, but the linked nicknames posting are always the same ones. Topics will continue to appear on Google as if nothing had changed, but those who enter to read must register; it seems like a fair thing to me. Those who are already members must log in. By enabling cookies in your browser, you will only have to log in the first time. Only if you do not visit the site for a week will you have to log in again because the cookie expiration is set to one week from the last visit...

Fair observation. The index has been unlocked...

I only dare to suggest that if the forum home page is to be visible (which is a great thing, among other things), perhaps it would be better if the "Recently added discussions" view were updated (at worst, empty)... It might also be interesting to see the "View new content" list full.

Tutto per dire che per leggere il contenuto di un topic bisogna loggarsi, ma per sapere che topic scegliere almeno i titoli bisognerebbe vederli...così è perfetto per chi fa ricerche da google, ma c'è chi potrebbe accede al forum a sua volta doll'homepade di pianoconcerto.it...per cui forse quelle 2 viste sarebbe carino che siano aggiornate.

I don't have time right now to make these changes; at most, things could be restored to how they were before for the moment, but I'm not doing it because there are more 'good' members (meaning those who are not bots that get automatically banned by the system) than there were before, so that means it's working. Furthermore, if there is a topic on Google that interests people, they will register if the forum denies them reading access. This has happened to me a ton of times. Many times I register, see what I need, and then I don't log in anymore. Other times I have happened to see a nice forum and/or a nice blog and I stayed. Let's hope people like it. The important thing is to arouse interest and members; it's already a step forward. If they are happy with the forum once registered and want to come back, then welcome, right?

I noticed that if you are not logged in and access a section of the forum from the home page, you receive an error instead of a login request... which is not very intuitive.

Perhaps the demand isn't to have immediate interventions, but if someone encounters malfunctions (given the substantial change in user operation) I find it useful to know about it.
