Just a little while ago, I posted in the "Reports" section an announcement for a concert that will take place on Saturday the 6th, on the occasion of the "Night of the Museums" in Rome. A violist and a cellist will perform some pieces (partly original, partly transcribed).
Among these pieces, this one piqued my curiosity:
Duo for viola and cello
"with two pairs of mandatory glasses", WoO 32
Can anyone tell me something about this piece and its singular subtitle?

Dear Gino, it is interesting to note that this piece is based on the Kafka; initially only the first movement was published, subsequently also the minuet (which normally and in modern times is played with the first movement) but watch out! the minuet is the third movement!
The adagio (second movement) is reduced to a group of bars for viola, as Hess says (Hess 24) (in reality there are also two bars for cello).
In the Kafka (from page 79) there are also the sketches for the fourth movement, which I have put both on the page that your friend Daniele kindly indicated to you, and on the Kafka page.
