I am reporting the Facile Chopin collection (Edizioni Curci)

I agree with marta...... maybe we start with something simpler but better an original version than a reduction...

yes but op 69 no 2 there isn't much to reduce.... apart from the passage of thirds in the second section.... and even on prelude no 4..... idk

Making reductions is an art, knowing how to grasp the essential. I remember La Ricci proposed a series called Musical Pearls years ago....what would you remove from pieces such as:

- Etude Op. 10 n. 3

- Mazurka op 7 n.1

- Waltz op 34 n. 2

- Polonaise op 40 n. 1

- Prelude op 28 n. 4 or n. 15 (the raindrop)

- Berceuse Op. 57

- Waltz Brillante Op 18

- Waltz Op. 64 n. 1-2

- Polonaise Op 53

Well, it is not just about removing but also about simplifying. The point is: what are the objectives, what is permissible and what is less so in operations of this type....?
