Good morning everyone, does anyone know how to suggest a way, if provided by Finale (2014), or a possible workaround to insert into a score with a piano and a soprano a part for recitative voice where I can write sections of text with some possible synchronization points with the other two parts (but not at the level of individual notes as required for rhythmic reading; I just need simple indications for the start of the recitative voice at the beginning of certain measures)?
I have hypothesized inserting a part for any non-pitched percussion, consisting of a single line, and then physically writing the texts in the score using the Text tool, laying them out over the relevant measures. Are there methods you consider more sensible? I wouldn't mind, for example, creating something like text boxes, or outlined "blobs" inside which to insert the verses to be recited, graphically indicating the measures in which the actor should begin reading each time, perhaps with a dashed line indicating which measure to enter on, or a very simple "attacca at start of meas. 35" etc...
I saw that in the page setup wizard among the different voice registers there is "talkbox," but when I added it, it inserted a normal staff with key signature accidentals; I was expecting something graphically different, as I don't need to write a pitched recitation part...
Thank you if you can help me.
