Only if you took an Old System exam by 2011 can you attempt it until 2021. The suggestion is to write to the conservatory of your interest and ask for information. Even if the regulation would be general, it is not understood why, for example, for piano, not all conservatories allow exams for private students. Another aspect not to be underestimated is the fee that is requested; one should inquire very thoroughly beforehand.

i read in a previous post that it is possible to split the eighth-grade exam into two parts. Since I couldn't find any trace of this possibility anywhere, could you give me some more info?

The point is that you don't pass some exams in June and therefore you are postponed to September....it should still be this way. Inquire at the chosen Conservatory
