I fully agree with you, Simone. The fact that you find it right is very good. When I was young, I used to listen to the same things from the pianist, Conductor and friend Kasimir Morsky, who supported many of these points regarding Chopin's studies. Back then, I believed that he was "adjusting" for his small hands and I did not quite agree with the idea that one should overturn the essence of the study that Chopin had specifically proposed. ….If it is written for late positions... that and only that is the choice to be made. Only later did I understand, and the video confirms it, that everyone must know how to view these difficult pieces of great music from their own perspective, in order to perform them well. The result confirms the choices. I like how she emphasizes the cantability of certain fingers and the references the hand must have to "anchor" itself to the positions. It is evident that smaller hands will execute tighter passages and therefore faster movements, but it is a matter of habit. I believe that in this study, and not just this one, the reference to certain "key notes," as she illustrates so well, is important. I also mention the wonderful book by Monique Deschuasses specifically on the 24 Chopin studies. Very beautiful video, thank you
