Everything a jazz musician should and should not do

Nice and partly agreeable. What do you think?

I believe few have caught the irony and provocation of what was written. I find some criticisms intelligent, punctual, and sensible ... but not those aimed at denigrating a person who made history in "jazz". For example, if no one had had the courage to propose original music, standards would not exist.

I repeat, he is likable and several statements are anything but stupid, but in some I see a conceit that I don't like.

Yes, fun, but some of the things L.P. says are very debatable... in particular "you are born a jazz musician", like everything else "you are born", and the idea that one should not play original music. Personally, the repertoire I prefer is precisely that of "originals", without thereby snubbing some splendid songs from the standard repertoire...
