Good morning everyone, as previously announced I am sending you a link to an extemporaneous composition of mine, the purpose of which is to bring you into the "modal atmosphere."
This is a recording primarily for educational purposes performed in the form of a "modal plateau," alternating various harmonic centers all of the "Dorian" type. The central gravitational element is F Dorian. The "dorian" atmosphere is characterized by an inclination towards melancholy, with elements of character instability. The goal is to understand the state of being of Dorian harmony. I avoided extensive chromaticism of the melodic line and altered Dorian chords precisely so as not to pollute the environment. These [examples] of mine do not constitute elements to be imitated, but rather an idea of Dorian harmony to be extrapolated based on the instrument used and the character/personality of the musician.
