After years (exactly since 2002/2003) I have embarked on the path of defining some electronic music pieces that had been left simmering, here is the first release (I already have another 10 ready and another 15/20 are in preparation):

In my opinion, this is your path, electronics....you can go even further...

A famous saying goes: "if one is born round, one cannot die square". No musician is truly complete, so it is much better to leverage one's strengths by following one's own nature. I feel you are more at ease in the field of electronic music, and it is not even certain that you must give up classical training, which "easily" lends itself to audio processing.

You are not the only ones telling me this, and it is a feeling I have had for several years, namely that of not being able to be what I would have wanted in the musical field, but rather focusing on what I can do best and most "easily."
It is true that I can produce this type of music much more naturally and quickly, being more convincing (not in everything) compared to instrumental music (which, as you say Franck, I can always pursue by trying, even minimally, to improve).

I mean not only trying to improve one's own knowledge but fusing the two experiences by creating pieces where electronics are paired with acoustic instruments, or by processing audio material with techniques typical of art music.

Sometimes I have thought about this, about processing audio material to pair with a live work, but it really takes a certain kind of mindset, in the sense that you have to know exactly what you want to achieve and I'm not at that level yet.
For the moment (still at simple and affordable levels) I limit myself to contemplating parts for acoustic instruments alongside electronic ones (if one assumes a live performance).
I don't apply myself much Franck, that talk about patience is always valid; in this period I have written about 10 new pieces, but it is always electronic music, then I am recovering the "old" ones by defining them, but I consider them at a "lower" level compared to what I intend to do but for which I am not yet ready.
You know I'm obsessed with the fugue, but (always this "but") until I sit down and try to make one properly, everything remains aleatory.
Sooner or later I will do it, it takes me a while, but in the end I will "give birth" to it.

Middle way I wrote it a few days after my father's death (with whom I always had a somewhat detached and heavy relationship), but with this piece I wanted to convey sensations such as nostalgia for something that is no longer repairable and the strength to move forward (which is always there but fluctuates).
